Welcome to the town I call home... Davis, California!

Lately, there's been lots of talk about moving to a slower lifestyle, going green, and building community. In Davis, we've been doing all that for decades. Here, you can ride your bike from any edge of town and be in downtown in 20 minutes (if you ride slowly like me). You can go birding, shopping, to school or work without ever getting in your car. People are out and about a lot here. You see your neighbors and it's not uncommon to wave or stop to catch up on life. 

Davis is Natural;  we have the most popular farmer's market in the country and of course we're just a hop, skip and jump from the Capay Valley the heart of local organic farming for our region. There are loads of places to go for a nice walk and you can even ride your bike to go fishing. I'm a big birder, so I'm thrilled to be right on the Pacific Flyway and be able to see 30 or more species of birds on a walk.

If you're looking for a town to settle in where you can create memories for many years to come, there's really only one choice: Davis... naturally!
